- Covid cancellation insurance: cover for the cancellation costs of your trip if you catch COVID or if a loved one catches it
- Coverage of cancellation costs for your trip if travel restrictions are applied in your destination country after you have booked your trip
- Coverage of cancellation costs if your trip is canceled by the tour operator due to COVID
- Coverage of treatment costs abroad if you contract the virus during your trip.
Please note that travel insurance for COVID generally does not cover:
- The fear of traveling and being confronted with COVID during a trip
- Cancellation fees if a country's borders are closed for COVID
- Costs related to quarantine imposed upon arrival or return from a trip
- Repatriation in the event of confinement in a foreign country
- The costs of PCR or antigen tests.
Note: Generally, you must take out special COVID travel insurance to protect yourself as much as possible and not all insurance companies offer it.
