Short-term travel insurance is generally used to insure you for a single trip (less than a month). Most insurers in Switzerland offer short-term travel insurance for a single trip or for a month: Allianz travel insurance, AXA travel insurance, etc.
The cover of short-term travel insurance remains the same cover as classic (annual) travel insurance, namely:
- Trip cancellation fees
- Assistance during a trip
- Search and rescue costs
- Delayed flights.
With short-term travel insurance, you can also take out options for your travel insurance such as legal protection, car breakdown service, etc.
Note: Short-term travel insurance is generally cheaper compared to annual travel insurance.
