The fire destroys two floors of the Lauredian cultural center



 The LaurediΓ  Cultural and Congress Center has suffered a fire this morning which has significantly affected the facilities. The events took place at a quarter past five in the morning when the firefighters received the warning. The fire took place in the hall of the center "leaving destroyed" the 0th floor and the first "heavily affected", according to the fire department officer, Josep Ribera, together with the Laureate consul, Josep Majoral, in a appearance this morning.

University closed
The University of Andorra has announced that it will be closed for the whole day because the building, which is next to the Lauredian centre, has been affected by smoke. The center has informed that all face-to-face teaching activities are canceled "for security reasons" and has asked students, teachers and the entire university community to "refrain from traveling there". The University plans to resume activity tomorrow as normal.
